Well, I knew that Gma had been a bit more confused lately. She asks me on a more regular basis where her bed is, but she's usually satisfied when I tell her it's in her room. She recognizes us all, and usually remembers everyone's names who visit us periodically, she just doesn't always remember how we're all connected.

But maybe it's worse than I thought. We were out at the doctor's today (because she was having some headaches and face pain that, of course, once we were in the doctor's office wasn't bothering her anymore). When we came home, she asked me where we were. I told her we were home. Later she asked me how far away from home we were. Again I told her we were home. A bit later than that she told me that she wanted to go home to where she sleeps so we'd be there.
She asked me a couple of mornings ago where she was, but that was the morning after she had taken a Lortab, so I assumed it was still some disorientation from the medicine. Now I'm not so sure.
Whatever the cause, however, there doesn't seem to be anything the doctor or I can do more than we're doing. Consistency helps, which is probably part of the problem today. And we keep going along.
This type of problem, I have to say, though, makes me cognizant of how old she really is and that I should prepare myself a bit more for the eventual time when she's no longer here.
